Best Practices from our Care Advocate Team

Ensuring the injured party is taken care of after settlement so that they can get the treatment and guidance they need is our number one priority.  Our Care Advocate team takes on this critical responsibility.

After settlement, the injured individual becomes our client (or “member”) and works directly with our Care Advocates.  We’d like to highlight a few of the services and practices we’ve implemented to go above and beyond for our members to help make the transition to their post-settlement care seamless.

Here, at Ametros, we provide professional administration of Medicare Set Asides (MSAs) and medical funds after settlement. But, did you know we also provide extensive Coordination of Benefits (COB) for our members with a full service offering for prescriptions, provider networks and durable medical equipment? In fact, we have a dedicated Care Advocate team standing by to assist with all of our members’ medical needs, including:

  • Member reimbursement for care related to their injury
  • Prescription approval and coordination
  • Durable medical equipment procurement
  • Member, doctor, provider and pharmacy billing coordination
  • Assistance to find medical providers and pharmacies within our own discount networks
  • General member inquiries and feedback
  • Claims processing for existing member providers

…and much more!

We strive to provide the best in class customer service and live to make our members happy and see that their needs are met. There are a few best practices we recommend to our members to maximize the advantage of the services we provide at Ametros.

As a new member, our goal is to provide our services as soon as possible after you’ve chosen Ametros as your resource after settlement. Providing us with your current doctors, providers and pharmacies when we contact you allows us to coordinate with them to ensure you will be able to use your CareGuard or Amethyst card like a traditional insurance card. Providing us with this information allows us to create a seamless experience for you!

If you need a provider or would like information on lower cost prescription options, we have a nationwide network of providers and access to some of the lowest cost pharmacy networks in the country. We are more than happy to help you locate the best option for you. Do let us know if you switch providers, change your address, or if any major changes in your life happens. We are here to assist with all your needs!
